More than an Exercise

I have published several Believe-In books to help support both children's Yoga practice and the children themselves in their everyday lives. Many of the themes found in the books appear throughout our children's classes

Along with adult and private and bespoke classes we now offer courses in the Believe-In method to qualified Instructors and for organizations wishing to add Yoga classes to their range

After qualifying as a children’s Yoga Teacher in 2014 and whilst studying my adult yoga teacher training (completed in 2015) I took my first steps on my professional yoga journey.

I began delivering various yoga classes for children and families, immediately incorporating my extensive experience working with children and in mental health. It is this combination which makes our methods medically verifiable and unique

My Journey

During 2016 and my own personal trauma, yoga, mindfulness, and a big dose of self-compassion and positivity helped me so it was then I then studied why? I studied the TCTSY Healing Trauma through Yoga method, became a Trauma Informed Youth Professional and wanted to bring this new found knowledge and personal understanding to children’s and adults in which Believe-in Yoga was born and social stories came flooding out of me! I have since been passionate about this approach and have delivered a number of these classes, some many books and also some training to other yoga teachers that could see its benefit for the children they work with.

During 2020 and in light of Covid-19 and the difficulties children will face not just not now but going forward has reawakened my drive, passion with clearer vision that the Believe-approach can really help! So it has been during Covid and in any spare time outside work I have studied, reaffirmed my yogic journey and light to go much more deeply then I did before and this will show in the depth of my training that I am offering (please see training page for details).

My Path

Outside of my yoga journey I worked supporting very vulnerable and troubled young people within the police service for 19 years but this year moved direction and now work within children’s mental health and also education.

There is a saying “Yoga is a journey of the self, through the self, to the self” Baghdvad Gita, for me and my journey, I did never expect to even start this journey until I found myself on the first day of my children’s yoga teacher training with now a good friend that I felt out of my depth and she said “ everyone here is meant to be here, for one reason or another you are meant to be here” and I now use that with my students. It was the start of something that helped me manage and cope through my darkest time, it ignited the light and passion inside of me, and through its practice and my practice to others it has reached a depth in me I never knew even existed!

So today and this brand new vision and hope I have reignited in me that has taught me so much about me, the world and life I share with you. Namaste, the love and light in me honours and respects the love and light in you x
