Private Yoga Classes



Health and well-being assessments are needed to create bespoke, private yoga classes. Designed to assess capability, agility, wishes etc. Assessments help determine what style or combination of yoga best meets the needs of the student. Assessments are also available of breath assessments.

 
 

Believe-In Private Yoga Class Content



Yoga practice can take many forms and is the ultimate in "inclusive". Believe-In private Yoga classes can include any or all of the Yoga styles listed below. There really is a way for anyone to do Yoga

 

Transformational Hatha Yoga

Transformational Hatha Yoga is a mat-based practice that is accessible to completed beginners and those that have a more extensive knowledge and experience of yoga. This practice includes mind (raja) practices, breath (pranayama) practices as well as physical (asana) practices. The asanas are more dynamic movements that are both floor and standing postures. Adaptations can be offered to make the postures more accessible.



Restorative Yoga

Restorative Yoga is a mat based class, accessible to all and is not a dynamic practice. It is a practice that is submissive and works on the relaxation of the muscles and tendons to create the opening and flexibility of the body. All postures are floor-based postures only that are supported with bolsters, cushions, blocks and blankets that are then held for approx. 15 minutes per movement.

Chair Yoga

Chair Yoga is a fully accessible class that offers yoga from the comfort of a chair. This offers both gentle practices.


Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is again a mat-based practice that has postures on the floor. These postures work on the energy systems of the body, and these are held for between 2 and 5 minutes per posture. This is a more challenging practice than a restorative class.


Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra is a mind-based practice where you sit or lie down and whilst fully relaxing the body and mind it involves the participant to go into a deeper state of sleep whilst being fully aware following a structured story process.


Mindfulness, Movement, Meditation & Relaxation

Mindfulness, Movement, Meditation & Relaxation is as it says and includes activities of mindfulness some with movement and some mental based, meditations and different forms of relaxations.
